ANDALUZ
This dance must have been brought here by the
Spaniards from Andaluz. According to the old folks of
Janiuay, Iloilo, the first Spanish girls who landed
here heard of the graceful dances in their town, and
on seeing the lilt of the Visayan girls, they introduced
their own, hence the name Andaluz.
COSTUME: Girl wears a Maria Clara Style skirt and camisa.
Boy wears barong tagalog and black trousers.
MUSIC is composed of four parts: A, B, C and D.
COUNT: One, two, three to a measure.
FORMATION: Partners face each other about six feet apart.
Girl stands t right side of partner when facing
audience.
